Whenever evil rises in the world, the divine always incarnates to destroy it. This is a story of the triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness set in today's times. The narrative centers on Babuli Mestry, an aging performer of Dashavatar, a traditional folk theatre form from the Konkan region that blends mythology, music, dance, and dialogue. When his life is struck by an unexpected storm, he struggles to endure, finding that the wisdom and spirit of Dashavatar light his path forward. Celebrating Marathi culture on a grand scale, the film blends mythology and the magic of Konkan's folk theatre to tell a deeply human story of belief, resilience, and faith.
