ABOUT
The play centres on two middle-aged men—one, a brash, devil-may-care black-money maker, a South Indian, Bappaji Dharsod, and the other, a timid lawyer, Babanrao Bakre, who prides himself on being a self-appointed guardian of moral values. When their contrasting worlds collide, the reason being, Babanrao Bakre's daughter and Bappaji Dharsod's son fell in love with each other and became adamant about marrying each other, the mixture of chaos and comedy unfolds in a whirlwind of hilarious encounters. But as the laughter fades, a piercing truth emerges: it is often the lack of opportunity, rather than moral virtue, that turns us into saints.
